linda_kennedy_3Linda Kennedy is the mum of Charley in Year 7 and Lotte in Year 1.  She has been volunteering at the school with a lunchtime filmmaking club for three years. Linda completed the Masters in Natural History Film-Making at Flinders University in 2008 after spending 11 years as a forensic scientist and four years as an IT business analyst.  She has been encouraged by her projects winning or being nominated for some local and national awards (South Australian Screen Awards, Australian Teachers of Media Awards, Interpretation Australia Award for Excellence) and is continuing to create short films for various clients and her own interests with a passion, more recently with some history related projects.  Her clients have included the Maritime Museum and the South Australian Museum.  Linda thrives on the exciting challenge of presenting topics in imaginative, alternative and engaging forms, in all aspects of documentary filmmaking.  http://www.midnightshorts.com.au,  email linda@midnightshorts.com.au.

 

00000972Helen Carter is the mum of Beth in Year 3 and Ben in Year 2.  She is an award-winning, masters-educated, cinematographer with 20 years’ experience in the film and television industry. She has been recognised by her peers, winning eight awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society as well as numerous awards from the AFTRS, Kodak and the Sydney Film Critics Circle. Helen began her film career as a clapper loader on television series and went on to work on many documentaries, commercials, short dramas and feature length films. She is a graduate from the AFTRS, receiving the highest achievement in her year. Her filmmaking passion lies in the area of documentary.
